Respect and Courtesy: Students, parents, and staff are expected to treat each other with respect at all times.
Preparedness: Students should bring all necessary materials (instruments, books, etc.) and come prepared to learn.
Practice Requirement: Students are expected to practice regularly at home. Teachers may assign weekly practice goals.
Performance Participation: Participation in recitals, group lessons, or ensemble opportunities is strongly encouraged.
Lesson Scheduling: Lessons are scheduled monthly. At the last class of each month, enrolled students can reserve their time slots for the upcoming month(s).
Re-schedule & Cancelation: At least 24-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson. No shows or late cancellation are not eligible for make-up lessons.
Make-up Lessons: Make-up lessons must be completed within two weeks from the original class time. Make-up lessons are subject to teacher availability and qualified substitute teacher may be provided.
Tardy: Due to scheduling reasons, classes will not be extended for student late arrival.
Vacations & Long Absence: At least one week notice is required if a student is planning to miss two or more consecutive classes due to vacation or other reasons.
Holidays: Please check the website for holiday schedules. Classes canceled due to holidays will be not be charged unless student decides to take make-up lessons.
Teacher Absence: In the event of an absence teacher, students may choose: a. cancel the class without being charged. b. take class with a qualified substitute teacher at the original time. c. take make-up lesson within two weeks from the original class time.
Registration Fee: A one time $40 registration fee is required upon enrollment. If the student is absent from classes for more than a year, this fee will apply again.
Tuition Payment: Tuition is due upon registration or at the last class of each month. This payment is for scheduling classes for the upcoming month(s).
Group Lessons and Seasonal Camps: Tuition is due upon enrollment, and students will be encouraged and committed to finish the program. No refund and Make-up lesson for missed classes.
Payment Methods: We are currently accepting cash or bank transfer. Please visit us at our school where we can assist you with the payments.
Refund Policy: Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferrable. Please see Scheduling & Attendance for Make-up lessons policies.
Parental Supervision: For students under age of 6, a parent or guardian should remain on the premises during lessons unless otherwise agreed upon.
Drop-off/Pick-up: Please be prompt for drop-offs and pick-ups. When dropping off, parent is responsible for student making to the classroom with teacher being present. Summit Music Academy is not responsible for students outside of scheduled lesson times in the reception area.
Student Behaviors: Please help keep the school clean. No food or drink in teaching rooms (except water). Please keep quiet and not to disturb ongoing classes, any disruptive behavior is not allowed.
Policy Change Notification: Summit Music Academy reserves the right to update or modify its policies, tuition rates, and schedules at any time in order to maintain a high standard of education and operation. Any such changes will be communicated in advance through email notifications or website updates.

Use of Photos & Videos: Summit Music Academy reserves the right to photograph, video record students during lessons, classes, performances, and school events. These images and recordings may be used by the school for educational, promotional, and archival purposes.
